Some worrying signs: The G's gestures . . . .

This is a family blog, after all.
That said, from time to time I do have to tackle certain topics that might cause offence.
This is one such occasion.
You see, earlier this morning - at the breakfast table, to be precise - The G raised one finger and brandished it, very deliberately, in my direction.
The finger in question just so happened to be the middle one.
I almost choked on my muesli.
Taken aback, I was still considering my response when The G decided to raise the stakes.
"Kiss this!" she said and began to giggle.
Given that she only turned three in March, it seems to me highly unlikely that The G intended her gesture to convey its traditional meaning . . . .
That said, it has to go on record that, having been asked to kindly stop giving me the finger, she did switch to a classic V-sign.
I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, but it does seem an awfully big coincidence . . . .
