| Farewell, old friend . . . . |
Still on the scooter theme, The B does own one . . . .
I call it Boneshaker.
It's an affectionate nickname this, because although the ride can often be a touch bumpy, Boneshaker ranks amongst The B's most-treasured possessions.
It's the longest-serving, for sure, having been in constant use for almost two years.
Therein lies the problem.
Gifted to a two-year-old in 2010, Boneshaker is, these days, creaking under the strain as its pilot fast closes in on five.
The fact that The B is tall doesn't help, his bent-double riding position compromising Boneshaker's maximum attainable speed (MAS).
The bottom line here, The B loves Boneshaker dearly, but he has outgrown it.
Given that he has owned it for almost half his days, a faithful servant owes us nothing.

Unlike Deathtrap 1, Boneshaker is certain to be missed, but needs must . . . .
The B's choice as its successor is a Maxi Micro from Micro Scooters - a machine that I'm confident can help him start to match his speeding sister on her magnificent Mini.
If The G's scooter is anything to go by, he's in for a treat and I'm going to have an even harder time trying to keep up . . . .
