Death, taxes and Micro Scooters . . . .

The B's Maxi Micro has made quite a splash in recent days . . . .

Not much in life is certain.
Death and taxes - according to Benjamin Franklin, at least - are amongst the small handful of things that can always be relied upon.
I think the time has come to add Micro Scooters to that exclusive list.
You see, once again, our preferred purveyor of all things three-wheeled has delivered something rather special.
It's The B's Maxi Micro scooter . . . .
It has been an instant hit.
Since it arrived, two or three days ago, walking has become a thing consigned to the past, The B&G riding everywhere, him on his blue Maxi, her on her pink Mini and me trotting along (often red-faced and breathless) behind.
Unlike Boneshaker (and unlike me), the Maxi doesn't struggle for speed.
To use The B's own terminology, it's super-ooper fast.
Through the park, along the promenade and up and down all our local streets, it has been everywhere and anywhere, becoming a familiar sight in these parts.
The B loves it - the smoother ride, the lean-and-tilt steering, the brake - and has it all figured out from top to bottom.
In the rain and in the dry, the Maxi has proved to be an impressive performer, its place in his affections secure.
It's a good job given that this is a scooter designed to last until age 12.
The height adjustable handlebars will enable the Maxi to grow with The B, whilst an ingenious parts replacement system - the deck, brake, wheels and handlebar grips can all be changed - means this is a machine that can be revamped countless times en route.
It's important to us, this, as there is bound to come a time when the Maxi requires the occasional pit-stop or two.
Indeed, its Polyurethane wheels might be durable in the extreme, but should current usage rates persist, it would come as no surprise should they eventually wear away to nothing.
The B can look forward to innumerable hours of on-board enjoyment before such a time comes. That is one more thing that I can be certain about . . . .
