Living next door to King Marigold . . . .

King Marigold Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom
Separated at birth.....

Five things I have learnt in recent days:
1) Our next-door neighbour is a dead-ringer for King Marigold from Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom.
2) In The B's eyes, I am positively ancient.
The other day, he asked 'Daddy, are you really 37?"
I replied in the affirmative.
"That's too old," he said, incredulous.
"Too old for what?" I asked him.
"Too old for anyone to be," came his response.
3) I need to think more before speaking.
Following the age question, I mentioned that our next-door neighbour (not King Marigold, the one on the other side) is much older than me.
"How old?" The B asked.
"I'm not sure exactly," I told him.
The B thought for a minute.
"Is he 100?" he asked.
"He might be," I said, not thinking this response through.
The B squealed in delight.
"I'll ask him the next time I see him," he declared.
4) The G is a fast learner.
It didn't take her long to figure out the steering on her new Mini Micro scooter.
No more going round in circles, it's straight-line speed all the way, so much so that The B and I can no longer keep up.
5) More people like Queen than one might expect. Perhaps The B's We Will Rock You routine isn't going to prove to be as embarrassing as I first feared . . . .
