| Cat Two: Hope it's chips, it's chips..... |
Following on from the ZZ Top episode, some selected comments to have emanated from The B in recent days.
1) Monday, soft play, The B befriended a small girl and her mother.
The session over, he brought his latest friends over for a quick meet and greet.
Pointing at the little girl (as usual, he didn't bother to learn her name), he announced, 'She's one-and-a-half'.
He has an age obsession, as the little girl's mum had, to my cost, discovered.
"He just said to me, 'I'm four' and my sister's two'," she told me.
I nodded, nothing unusual in that, that's normal B banter.
"Then he said, 'My Daddy's really, really old'," she added, her amusement obvious.
Nice touch, that.
2) Last night, me and The W, discussing some admin jobs that need to be done.
One is to inform the people who manage the data that is stored on the cats' microchip implants that our home address has changed.
To be honest, we moved almost two years ago and have never got around to doing this, a failing that prompts a panic whenever we're unable to locate one or both cats.
The B, eating his tea, hadn't been listening to the conversation, but appeared to tune in just as The W said the words "cats' microchips".
Hearing this, he sprang into life, a thrilled look forming on his face.
"Cats like chips?" he asked.
